Michael Micheal

DVM
Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Michael Micheal earned his undergraduate degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he fully embraced the university’s “Learn by Doing” philosophy and fell in love with the Central Coast lifestyle. His time in San Luis Obispo fostered a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the region’s close-knit community—an experience that ultimately shaped his personal and professional trajectory.

He went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University, building a rigorous foundation in clinical medicine and developing a lifelong passion for thoughtful, patient-centered care.

Following veterinary school, the pull of the Central Coast was undeniable. Dr. Micheal and his wife, Lauren, were thrilled to return to San Luis Obispo to plant their roots and build their lives in the community they consider home.

As an emergency clinician, Dr. Micheal prioritizes collaboration, transparent communication, and a practical, compassionate approach to medicine. He thrives in fast-paced environments, working closely with both his veterinary colleagues and pet owners to ensure every patient receives an individualized, high-quality treatment plan during stressful moments.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Micheal can usually be found exploring the outdoors, practicing woodworking, or staying active. Soccer is a major part of his life—both as a player and a fan—and he highly values the teamwork and discipline the sport demands, qualities that seamlessly carry over into his veterinary practice.

Dr. Micheal is proud to serve his neighbors and is dedicated to protecting the health of the pets and families who make the Central Coast so special.
