Dr. Megan Mackintosh is originally from Vancouver, Canada. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Victoria before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. Following veterinary school, she completed a rotating internship and surgical internship at a private practice in Calgary.
Most recently, Dr. Mackintosh completed a residency in small animal surgery at large specialty referral hospital in the Philadelphia area. Her professional interests include orthopedics, skin and reconstructive surgery, and she is deeply passionate about patient care.
A dream of hers has been to live in California, and she is thrilled to begin this next chapter in such a beautiful and vibrant community! Outside of the hospital, Dr. Mackintosh enjoys pilates and yoga, spending time at the beach, wellness and fashion, baking, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, and socializing with friends. She is also an avid cat enthusiast and has two cats of her own, a Himalayan named Georgia and a Persian named Rosemary.
