Dr. Julia Colosi was born and raised right here on the California coast in Santa Cruz. Her journey into veterinary medicine led her to the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her doctorate in 2020. Seeking a broad foundation in clinical excellence, she moved to the Midwest to complete a rigorous small animal rotating internship at the University of Minnesota before returning to her alma mater, UC Davis, for a comprehensive three-year residency in Medical Oncology.
As a board-certified Medical Oncologist, Dr. Colosi is passionate about providing advanced, evidence-based care to patients facing a cancer diagnosis. She has a particular clinical interest in the management of lymphoma and mast cell disease. Above all, Dr. Colosi believes in the power of client education; she finds great fulfillment in helping families navigate complex treatment options so they can make the most informed, compassionate decisions for their beloved pets.
Outside of the hospital, Julia stays active by running and hiking through the beautiful California landscape. A self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast, she loves exploring local coffee shops and spending quality time with her Golden Retriever puppy, Soda, and her cat, Nalu.
